MAYBERRY TOWNSHIP - Police are investigating a possible road rage incident in which the perperator threatened passing motorists with a gun.
State police at Stonington report the incident occurred at High Road at Billman Road in Mayberry Township at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Four victims were involved but not identified by authorities.
Officers say the victims were traveling north on High Road when a Chevrolet S-10 truck approached them quickly from behind. Witnesses say the truck drove very aggressively, so they pulled over and allowed the vehicle to pass.
After the truck passed, it traveled further north on High Road and pulled over as if the driver was waiting for them. As they approached the truck, the victims observed the driver point a gun towards them. After passing the truck, the victims heard what they thought was a gunshot behind them.
The victims are described as a 36-year-old male from Catawissa, a 67-year-old male from Elysburg, a 32-year-old female from Catawissa and a 60-year-old female from Elysburg.
Police say the driver of the truck was taken into custody, but no description of the driver was provided.
