ELYSBURG - A senior expo hosted by state Rep. Kurt Masser will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Elysburg Fire Company, 1 E. Mill St.
"I am looking forward to holding this event, as it gives senior citizens in the 107th District a chance to come out and benefit from the exhibitors and presentations I was able to coordinate with the help of my district office staff," said Masser, R-107. "I hope to have a great turnout, as this is my first event just for seniors."
The expo is for anyone age 60 or older, and will include more than 40 exhibitors offering information ranging from health care to home weatherization. Exhibitors include private organizations, as well as local, state and federal agencies. A flu shot clinic is also planned. To see a list of vendors, go to RepMasser.com and click on the senior expo banner at the top of the page.
There will be guest speakers providing informational presentations on open enrollment for insurance, scam prevention, the PACE/PACENET program and the LIHEAP program.

Culver clarifies
State Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-108) clarified that her "Stay Healthy, Keep Moving" Senior Health Lifestyles Expo set for Thursday in Sunbury is in no way affiliated with the similarly titled "Senior Health and Lifestyle Expo" events held annually in Bloomsburg, Lewisburg and Williamsport.
"It was brought to my attention recently that there was some confusion among vendors who were thinking my event was associated with the ones held in other regional communities," Culver said. "I just want to be clear that my event is a stand-alone event organized by my office for the benefit of senior citizens in the 108th legislative district."
Culver's expo will be held from 9 a.m. until noon Thursday at the YMCA, 1150 N. Fourth St, Sunbury.
