Canned goods drive at pool postponed
SUNBURY - The Sunbury Community Pool has moved its canned goods food drive to Aug. 10. Anyone who brings a canned good to the pool Aug. 10 will receive a $1.75 discount. Regular admission is $3.75.
Fall festival set for Oct. 1
SHAMOKIN - The fall festival sponsored by the Northumberland County Council for the Arts and Humanities will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.

Spaces are available for for $20 each for the car boot sale and for crafters, food vendors and artists. The festival will be held in the municipal parking lot and East Independence Street.
Coal Township meeting postponed
COAL TOWNSHIP - Coal Township Board of Commissioners' meeting, scheduled for Thursday, has been postponed.
The meeting is rescheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22.
