Lauren Elizabeth Rumberger, daughter of Dr. William and Donna Rumberger of Elysburg, graduated magna cum laude May 7 from Bloomsburg University with a 3.93 grade point average. She received Bachelor of Science in audiology and speech-language pathology.
During her academic career at BU, Rumberger earned dean's list each semester and was a member of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) and Catholic Campus Ministry. She was inducted into Kappa Mu Epsilon Mathematics Honor Society in November 2010 and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society in April 2011. Rumberger was among the top 15 students in her major and was granted advanced seating into Bloomsburg University's speech-language pathology graduate program. She and will begin the two-year master's program this fall.
Rumberger is a 2006 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School.
Rumberger is a granddaughter of Sophia Chowka and the late John Chowka, of Shamokin, and Dr. William and Frances Rumberger, of Sunbury.
