Mock car crash this morning at Line Mtn.
MANDATA - The Line Mountain Jr. Sr. High School Prom Committee and Link Team are sponsoring a mock car crash that will be held this morning. All students from grades nine through 12 will be participating. Community members who witness rescue operations at the high school should not panic - it is only a simulated accident.
The mock car crash will demonstrate what occurs after a drunk driver and someone who was texting get into a car crash. The scene will be set up with two crashed cars and members of the student council will portray victims and drivers. Emergency personnel will take students through the procedure of rescuing and treating victims, and Life Flight may be present, if available.
Prom and graduation will take place soon, and students are reminded that a crash can happen to anyone who makes poor decisions.
