COAL TOWNSHIP - The Rainbow Club held its February meeting in Our Lady of Hope hall. The meeting was opened by Mrs. Ruth Romanoski, president, with the Senior Adult Ministry prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Birthdays for the month were read, followed by song and applause.
The minutes were read by Dolly Yocum, secretary, approved and filed. Florence Verano, treasurer, reported on finances and the travel club. Trips have been scheduled up to the Christmas holiday. The first trip is March 14 at Hunterdon Hills to see "Butterflies are Free." The bus leaves the church parking lot at 8 a.m.
Donations to the World Youth Day were made to Harrisburg to help pay expenses for participants.
The attendance award was won by Lenny McCabe.
The 50/50 sellers were led by Ann Koshinskie, vice president, and Margaret Defacis. Winners were Judy Urick, Peggy Thomas and Ruth Paul.
Bingo was played and refreshments served. The next meeting will be held March 10.
