Food pantry distribution Saturday
MOUNT CARMEL - Mount Carmel Food Pantry will have its monthly distribution from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Notary Shop, 215 S. Oak St. Please bring green bags.
Church Street closed starting Monday
SHAMOKIN - City officials have announced Church Street in the city will be closed starting Monday to accomodate the demolition of 18 W. Church St. Neighbors are asked to please find alternate parking until the project is completed.
Community service to meet at cemetery
SHAMOKIN - Participants in a community service program coordinated by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III are requested to meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Shamokin Cemetery, not the Coal Bowl as originally reported.
Garden mulch available
MOUNT CARMEL - Any borough residents looking for garden mulch can pick it up behind the borough garage between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. while supplies last, starting Friday.
