SELINSGROVE - Heather Crouse, of Shamokin, recently presented the results of her research and extended coursework at Susquehanna University's Senior Scholars Day on April 26.

Crouse is a senior majoring in biochemistry. Her research, "Detection of Quadruplex DNA by Metal Complexes and Nanoparticles," was supervised by Dr. Swarna Basu, assistant professor of chemistry.

A tradition for more than 30 years, Senior Scholars Day provides an opportunity for Susquehanna students doing research or other scholarly or creative projects to present the results of their work to the public. It also gives the campus community an opportunity to recognize and celebrate those students' accomplishments. Crouse, a 2007 graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School, is a daughter of Miles Crouse, of Shamokin, and Adele Crouse, of Mount Carmel.
