COAL TOWNSHIP - The Catholic Council of Catholic Women met at Our Lady of Hope Church for its April meeting.
The meeting was opened by President Margaret Forbes with the prayer of Good Counsel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Secretary Dolly Yocum read the secretary's report, which was approved and filed by Forbes.
Final arrangements were made for the annual CCW convention, which was held in Harrisburg on April 23.
A carnation sale will be held on May 13, Mother's Day, at all masses. Carnations will cost $1.25.
The deanery meeting will be held June 12 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish hall.
The meeting closed with prayers. The next council meeting will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15.
