SHAMOKIN - The following hearings took place Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III. Defendants who waived their cases to court or were held for court were ordered to appear for plea court June 25 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

n Mark Getz Jr., 18, of 200 S. Coal St., Shamokin, waived to court multiple charges relating to separate incidents in the city.

Getz waived to court charges of theft from a motor vehicle, loitering and prowling at night, receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking and criminal conspiracy to commit theft involving the theft of various items from vehicles parked in the 500 block of Dewart Street on Jan. 12.

The charges were filed by Shamokin Patrolman Scott Weaver.

Getz also waived to court charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia involving a Feb. 5 incident in the 100 block of South Coal Street.

The charges were filed by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II.

n Cory Senavitis, 21, of 313 E. Sunbury St., Apt. 3, Shamokin, waived to court charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of marijuana, a lighting violation and operating an uninspected vehicle relating to a Feb. 5 incident at his apartment.

The charges were filed by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano.

n Benjamen D. Gerrity, 25, of 209 E. Saylor St., Atlas, waived to court charges of disorderly conduct, harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia involving a Feb. 18 incident at Independence Fire Company.

Gerrity was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Shane Mowery with punching Kristi Rhodes in the face.
