MOUNT CARMEL - James Williams Sr. was elected president of the Anthracite Steam Fire Company No. 1 for 2012. Other officers are: Barbara Wagner, vice president; David Berezovske, recording secretary; Marilyn Williams, financial secretary; Eric Troutman, treasurer; Ronald Kerestes, Edward Kinn and Jack Williams Sr., trustees; Joseph Hawkins, sergeant-at-arms, and Troutman, chief engineer.
Death fund officers are Jack Williams Sr., president, and John Williams Jr., secretary-treasurer.
Sean Williams was elected as a delegate for one year to the Volunteer Fire Department of Mount Carmel. Michael Ledger Jr. and Troutman were elected to serve as delegates to the Mount Carmel Volunteer Emergency Services Association Inc. Tammy Mench, John Williams Jr., Sean Williams and Berezovske were named delegates to the Anthracite Firemen's Relief Association.
The company's annual children's Christmas party will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4. Members are reminded to sign up by Sunday, Nov. 27.
A meeting concerning the Six-County Firemen's Association convention will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. All members are invited to attend.
