'Walk through Bethlehem' scheduled
HERNDON - Grace Community Church will present its fourth annual "Walk Through Bethlehem" event from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, and from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the church, 1218 State Route 225 near Line Mountain High School.
The interactive program allows attendees to get a feel of what it was like living in bibical times, hearing the sounds of the merchants, moneychangers and live animals in the marketplace, seeing the handmade tapestries and craftsmen at work as the aroma of fresh baked breads lingers in the air. As participants walk through Bethlehem, the Christmas story unfolds for Mary and Joseph, from the beginning of their pilgrimage, through Bethlehem's marketplace and finally to the scene of the manger where the true meaning of Christmas is revealed.
