SHAMOKIN - The following hearings took place Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court in Northumberland County Court, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n Richard Hine, 46, of 1126 W. Lynn St., Coal Township; Theresa Hine, 48, of 314 E. Dewart St., Shamokin; David D. Swank, 42, of Swank Road, Shamokin, and Ronda Balonis, 42, of 246 S. Coal St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor of disorderly conduct and were each ordered to pay a $200 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for six months.
Additional charges of harassment and simple assault filed against Richard Hine were withdrawn. Additional charges of harassment, simple assault and public drunkenness filed against Swank were withdrawn.
All four individuals were charged by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II in connection with a Sept. 10 fight in the 300 block of East Dewart Street.
n Luann M. Reinard, 33, of 549 N. First St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor of disorderly conduct and was ordered to pay a $200 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year. She also was ordered to attend anger management classes.
Charges of simple assault and harassment were withdrawn.
Reinard was charged by Shamokin Patrolman William Miner in connection with an Aug. 26 disturbance at her home in which she allegedly shoved and knocked down L. Roy Himmelreich III, 46, of Shamokin, causing him to suffer injuries to his lip and forehead.
n Barbara Ann Frazier, 58, of 1401 W. Independence St., Coal Township, waived to court two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of careless driving relating to an Aug. 20 accident at Mount Carmel and Pearl streets in Shamokin.
Shamokin Cpl. John Brown filed the charges.
Frazier was ordered to appear for plea court Nov. 28.
n Harry L. Wheary III, 23, of 169 N. Grant St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty to retail theft and disorderly conduct and was ordered to pay fines totaling $150 plus costs and placed on supervised probation for six months.
Additional charges of criminal conspiracy and corruption of minors were withdrawn.
Wheary was charged by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano with stealing $98.44 worth of razor blades from Weis Markets on Sept. 5.
n Kenneth J. Wetzel, 49, of 10 S. Second St., Shamokin, waived to court two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol relating to an Aug. 25 accident near 30 N. Second St.
The charges were filed by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano.
Wetzel was ordered to appear for plea court Nov. 28.
n Lawrence Day, 19, of 1143 W. Pine St., Coal Township, was held for court on charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct filed by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano.
The charges relate to an Aug. 17 disturbance at Independence and Cleaver streets in which Day allegedly assaulted a 15-year-old male.
Day was ordered to appear for plea court Nov. 28.
n Matthew Foltz, 18, of 30 N. Sixth St., Shamokin, waived to court charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance involving an Aug. 19 incident at his residence.
The charges were filed by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano.
Police said Foltz possessed a syringe, two burnt spoons and heroin packages with residue and marijuana.
Foltz was ordered to appear for plea court Nov. 28.
