MOUNT CARMEL - Anthracite Citizens' Theatre (ACT) held its monthly meeting Oct. 12. The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. with 11 people in attendance.
Treasurer Dan Heiser read the financial report, which was accepted on a motion by Mary Ann Palovick and seconded by Dan Mock.
Under previous business, Louanne Olson reported the grant they received will be picked up on Thursday and she is still waiting to hear about the second grant. She reported Ronnie Scicchitano is reading two scripts and a summer show for 2012 should be chosen at the next meeting.
Dan Mock reported on the musical review show called "Celebrate Broadway." Auditions will be held in the choral room of the Mount Carmel Area Jr./Sr. High School from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, and from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27. Vic Boris will be musical director. The show will be held in the auditorium of the Mount Carmel Area Jr./Sr. High School at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8.
The motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Palovick and seconded by Barb Malick. The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9, in the Mount Carmel Public Library, with everyone welcome.
