PAXINOS - It's that time of year when the Brush Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce holds its annual job fair.
"We are excited this year because most of our 20 vendors do have a wide range of jobs available to offer the public. I hope this shows that the economy is turning around," said Sandy Winhofer, director of the chamber.
The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Masser's Banquet Hall, Paxinos. It is co-sponsored by the chamber and Central Susquehanna Opportunities, Inc., in partnership with the Pennsylvania CareerLink of Northumberland County.
Featured employers at the fair will include PA CareerLink, Luzerne County Community College, Brush Valley Regional Chamber, Family Home Medical Support Services, Commomwealth of PA, State Civil Service Commission, Professional Drivers Academy, Milton Transportation Inc., Triangle Tech, Service Electric Cablevision, Inc., McCann School of Business and Technology, International Paper, Wegmans Food Markets, Inc., Knoebels Amusement Resort, Experience Works, CSO/Community Action Agency, Mountain View: A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Aaron's Sales and Lease, Primerica Financial Services, National Ticket Company, Clear Channel Radio and Baltimore Life Insurance.
The chamber is located at 2 E. Arch St., Shamokin.
