STATE COLLEGE - Although spring began about two weeks ago, according to Tony Mach, hydro meteorological technician at the National Weather Service, warmer weather is nowhere in sight for the area.
Mach reported that today in Shamokin one to three inches of snow is possible, starting before 2 p.m., then there is a chance of rain showers.
Temperatures will be a high near 43 and the chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
Tonight, there is a chance of rain showers before 8 p.m., then a slight chance of snow after 2 a.m. with little accumulation expected.
It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 30 and a chance of precipitation at 30 percent.
On Saturday there is a chance of rain and snow before noon, then a chance of rain later
Temperatures will reach a high near 46, with a chance of precipitation at 40 percent.
New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are possible.
Saturday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 31.
