SUNBURY - To listen to the concerns of the residents of her district, Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-108) will be hosting a series of eight town hall meetings throughout the district in August and September.
"During the first part of the 2011-12 legislative session, a great deal was accomplished, including the first on-time state budget in nearly a decade and important legislation to reform state government, improve our business climate, and protect our communities," Culver said. "However, our work is by no means finished. Our fall agenda is looking to be very active, with many hot-button issues scheduled for discussion.
Culver said she is looking for the input of local residents on Marcellus Shale drilling, hunting on Sundays, the privatization of state-owned liquor stores and other issues deemed important by constituents.
"I invite residents to attend the town hall meeting closest to them, or the one that better meets their schedule," she said.
