DANVILLE - One-year-old Bo Bacorn, of 169 N. Grant St., Shamokin, remained in critical condition Sunday night at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, according to a nursing supervisor.

Bacorn, a son of Skie Campbell, Shamokin, and Daniel Bacorn, of Ulster, Bradford County, suffered critical injuries when he was allegedly assaulted Tuesday morning by Campbell's 22-year-old live-in boyfriend, Michael Jordan Mason.

Mason has been charged by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II with three felony counts of aggravated assault, a felony of endangering the welfare of a child, and a misdemeanor of recklessly endangering another person.

He remains in Montour County Prison, Danville, in lieu of $250,000 cash bail.

Campbell was expected to give birth soon by Caesarian section to a baby girl who will be named Cadence, according to her mother, Carol Hertzog, who also lives at 169 N. Grant St. with her husband, David Hertzog. As of Sunday night, no birth was reported.

The infant's 3-year-old sister also resided at the house, but has been placed in the custody of Northumberland County Children and Youth Services following Tuesday's alleged assault.

Carol Hertzog said Friday Daniel J. Bacorn is the father of her daughter's two children and her expected third child, and has visited the injured boy at the hospital.

Police are continuing their investigation.
