TREVORTON - The June 3 meeting of the Trevorton Senior Action Center opened with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. There were nine members present, Edwina Savidge, Judie Urick, Betty Jane Bohner, Joyce Koppen, Helen Hollenbach, Marlene Reck, Norma Slodysko, Eleanor Long and Shirley Treon.
The secretary's report was given by Bohner in the absence of secretary Wanda Heath, and was approved as read. The treasurer's report was presented by Urick, and was also approved as read. The travel committee report was given by Koppen with future local trips to be presented to manager Diana Smeal to be scheduled. The scheduled trip to the Pines in Allentown was discussedm and more information can be obtained by contacting any of the travel committee members.
Appreciation was extended to the Girl Scout troop who put so much work in planning a senior prom for the center. Members said the night was enjoyed by all who attended, and members of the center thank them and their mothers who provided the buffet. The center members also thanked Smeal for all she did to make the evening so successful.
Farmer's market vouchers will be distributed, as will Knoebels tickets and food vouchers for those planning to attend the day at the park.
Following adjournment, members enjoyed some games of bingo.
