The schedule of events for today's Anthracite Heritage Festival of the Arts (events are on main stage at Market (Route 125) and Arch streets, unless otherwise indicated):
8:50 a.m.: Church bells ring
9 a.m.: Cameron Colliery whistle blows; "In Shamokin" by Chris Farell; national anthem by the Morgan sisters Maggie, Jessie and Abbie; Choraliers; prayer by the Rev. John Silliman, St. John's UCC; Choraliers again; "God Bless America" by the Morgan sisters.
9 a.m.: 5K race starts at Kemp Memorial Stadium, Coal Township; registration begins 7:30 a.m.
9:30 a.m.: Oak Grove Gospel Group
10 a.m.: Cloggers
11 a.m.: Moyer's School of Dance
11-11:15 a.m.: Motorcycle run, sponsored by Project Smile (supporting children and families with cancer), will ride on Market Street up to the festival grounds.
Noon: Combat Field Memorial Service, Hiker monument, Lincoln and Market streets.
12:30 p.m.: Talent show.
1:30 p.m.: Motivation Station
2 p.m.: Marla and the Juniper St. Band
3 p.m.: Vic Boris
Stage shows are sponsored by More Than Just Hair Design, except for talent show, which is sponsored by the Fun Shop.
