Memorial Day services set

WILBURTON - Memorial Day services will be held at Centralia American Legion Post 608 Monday. Members will meet at 8 a.m. at the post home. Coffee and doughnuts will be served by post auxiliary.

Members will then leave the post home at 9:30 a.m. for Zion Methodist Church in Aristes. They will then proceed to St. Mary's Cemetery in Centralia for services at Odd Fellow, SS Peter and Paul and St. Ignatius Cemeteries and the Aristes Veterans Memorial. The rifle squad will then assemble in front of the post home for TAPS for post members.

Following the memorial services, members will receive pins and certificates from Commander Edward Lawler. Legislative certificates will be presented by state Rep. Kurt Masser.

Conyngham Township Police and Aristes and Wilburton No. 1 fire companies will provide escort and traffic control. After the programs, food and refreshments will be served by the Post 608 Auxiliary members. Veterans will be honored with a dinner and program at Wilburton Senior Center Tuesday at 11 a.m.
