SHAMOKIN - The Luzerne County Community College Foundation, Inc. recently received two major donations to assist students in the Shamokin area with tuition assistance and to establish a learning assistance center.
The Jack and Constance Wheary Scholarship Endowment Fund was established through a gift from Jennifer Wheary and her husband, Paul Walker, residents of Brooklyn, N.Y. Candidates must be enrolled in a health care related career program or the nursing program and must demonstrate financial need and motivation.
