Food distribution Saturday
MOUNT CARMEL - The Mount Carmel Borough Food Pantry will have its monthly food distribution from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Notary Shop, 215 S. Oak St.
Participants are asked to bring their green bags. Residents of the Mount Carmel Mid Rise who have their food delivered are asked to meet in the lobby at 11 a.m. to pick up their food.
'Bulbs for All Seasons' workshop
SUNBURY - The Penn State master gardeners will present a program on bulbs, rhizomes, corms, tubers and fleshy roots at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Degenstein Library in Sunbury.
There will be a PowerPoint presentation on 299 colorful slides. Bagged bulbs will be available for sale.

LEWISBURG - Susquehanna Valley Conservatives (SVC) will welcome the following Republican candidates for state office to their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the Baylor West Conference Room at the Best Western Country Cupboard Inn:
David Freed, state attorney general; Diana Irey Vaughan, state treasurer; Fred Keller, state representative, 85th District; Lynda Schlegel Culver, state representative, 108th district, and Gene Yaw, state senator, 23rd district.
