SUNBURY - A 38-year-old Shamokin man charged with stalking a woman and grabbing her in an indecent manner pleaded guilty Monday morning to a misdemeanor of indecent assault and will be sentenced within 90 days.
Peter Rebuck Jr., 39, of 170 E. Dewart St., Apt. 206, entered the plea before Northumberland County President Judge Robert B. Sacavage.
Additional charges of stalking, harassment and disorderly conduct will not be prosecuted at the time of sentencing.
The charges were filed by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II in connection with a Jan. 30 incident at a home on West Walnut Street.
Rebuck is accused of stalking a woman, grabbing the victim in an indecent manner and making a lewd gesture.
The victim, who is not being identified because of the sensitive nature of the offenses, testified Monday that she's still in fear of Rebuck because he has allegedly continued to harass her since his arrest. She told the judge that justice needs to be done in the case.
Sacavage ordered Rebuck to avoid all contact with the victim.
The indecent assault charge carries a maximum penalty of two years imprisonment and $5,000 fine.
