Note: The club recently mistakenly supplied a story from last year for publication. This is the correct version.

The April meeting of the Cecilian Club was held at St. John's United Church of Christ. Barbara Silliman, president, presided over the business meeting. This was an open meeting with a number of guests in attendance.

The club's June banquet this year will be held at Brewsers SportsGrille. Reservations need to be made with the banquet committee.

Because she will be moving, Silliman submitted her resignation. Nan Weller was elected to fulfill the remainder of her term as president.

After the business meeting, the group sang the hymn, "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling." Marily Stasney presented an inspirational reading about beautiful people. It included a poem by Audrey Hepburn giving "Beauty" tips.

The evening's program entitled "The Seasons" followed. The opening number was a vocal solo. Silliman sang "It Might as Well Be Spring" from State Fair by Rodgers. Noriene Ladd accompanied. Bonnie Klinger followed with a piano solo, "Rustles of Spring" by Seinding.

Carol Ellis then sang "Summertime" by Gershwin. Ellis was accompanied by Weller on piano. Next, Silliman played a clarinet solo, "The Things We Did Last Summer" by Styne. Silliman was accompanied by Phil Maue.

Charlene Pell, Martha Lynch, and Merle Kashner, accompanied by Maue, sang "Autumn Leaves" by Mercer, Prevert, and Kosma. Another trio, comprised of Grace Stank, Lynch, and Weller, sang "Winter Wonderland" by Bernard, arranged by Trinkhaus. This group was accompanied by Ladd. Next, Carolyn Weaver presented a piano solo, "April in Paris" by Duke.

The program concluded with the entire club singing "June Is Bustin' Out All Over" by Rodgers. Weller directed and Maue accompanied.

After the program, there was a time of fellowship and refreshments in the church

The next meeting will be 7 p.m. Monday, May 14, at Salem United Church of Christ. This will be another open meeting and the public is invited. The program will include highlights of this past season's monthly programs and will be followed by a tea.
