Aggravated assault
ELYSBURG - Seth M. Gillen, 32, of Dalmatia, was charged by Ralpho Township Sgt. Chris Kreisher with aggravated assault, simple assault, retail theft and harassment relating to a disturbance at about noon Wednesday at the Sheetz store.
According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, Gillen is accused of pushing Northumberland County Adult Probation Officer Matthew Narcavage backward out the door of the business after Narcavage had spotted him attempting to steal items from the store. Police said Narcavage had to handcuff Gillen when he continued to struggle with him on the ground.
Gillen was arraigned by Jones and committed to Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury in lieu of $30,000 bail.
Credit card theft
SUNBURY - A Sunbury man faces forgery and theft charges after going on a shopping spree between April 15 and 17 throughout Snyder and Northumberland counties.
State police at Selinsgrove said Brian M. Walker, 28, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge John H. Reed of Selinsgrove on charges of forgery, theft related offenses, identity theft and access device fraud. He was placed in prison on $75,000 bail.
The case began when Frankie Strouse, 53, of Northumberland, reported to police that a lost credit card, issued by First National Bank of Northumberland, was being used at various businesses, with $456.91 worth of items having been purchased.
Police obtained a photo and video of the person using the cards through security footage and, with the help of the Sunbury Police Department, identified the person as Walker. State police said Walker didn't show up for questioning as arranged, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Harassment
DORNSIFE - Brandi Lynn Harris, 33, of 231 N. Eighth St., Trevorton, has been charged by state police at Stonington with harassment for allegedly attempting to force entry into the home of Tina Marie Hengst, 28, of 4958 Route 225, Dornsife, at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said the incident occurred after a dispute regarding mail.
Burglary
DORNSIFE - Shane Kieffer, 40, of Dornsife, reported to state police at Stonington that sometime between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, someone entered his residence on Cherry Town Road through an unlocked garage bay door.
The following items were taken: A Keystone Arms 22-caliber Cricket bolt-action rifle, XBox video game console with 10 games, Samsung Solstice cellular phone, Kodak digital camera, miscellaneous DVDs, jewelry and a Sentry lockbox containing Social Security cards, bonds, coins and bank account information.

Criminal trespass
SHAMOKIN - Cody Hlavaty, 18, of Berwick, was cited by Patrolman Scott Weaver for criminal trespass for entering Dunkin' Donuts on West Sunbury Street at 12:35 a.m. Monday after being banned from the business.
Endangers child
MOUNT CARMEL - Diane E. Guinther, 49, of 209 S. Poplar St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Patrolman Matthew Dillman with endangering the welfare of children relating to a March 19 incident in the 200 block of West Fifth Street.
Police reported Guinther failed to supervise a 3-year-old boy who was found playing on a sidewalk. The child was returned home, but later exited the residence and continued to play in the street unsupervised, police said.
Scattering rubbish
COAL TOWNSHIP - David Hine, 48, of Coal Township, was cited by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga for scattering rubbish for allegedly dumping a pile of household waste, including papers and junk, in the Third Patch of Bear Valley on Wednesday.
In an unrelated case, Daniel Grohowski, 21, of 614 E. Fourth St., Mount Carmel, was cited by borough police for scattering rubbish several times on a property at 616 E. Fourth St. between March 5 and March 29.
Harassment
MOUNT CARMEL - Officer Justin Stelma has cited two 15-year-old borough females for harassment and disorderly conduct relating to an April 19 fight at Town Park.
Police said one of the teens suffered a concussion and bloody nose and mouth in the 5:17 p.m. incident. The other girl claimed she was chased by the female who brandished a knife and charged at her, at which time she struck her in the face.
Burglary
LOWER MAHANOY TOWNSHIP - Terry Readinger, of Dalmatia, reported to state police at Stonington that sometime between 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Thursday, someone used a digging iron to pry open the rear door of a cabin he owns along Route 147 near Bells Lane. A glass jar containing approximately $100 in change was removed.

Underage drinking
MOUNT CARMEL - Patrolman Matthew Dillman cited Megan Sarah Rose, 20, of 419 W. Fig St., Mount Carmel, for underage drinking involving an incident at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday at her residence.
Drug charges
MOUNT CARMEL - Patrolman David Donkochik has charged a 17-year-old borough male with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage drinking relating to an April 21 incident in the 100 block of South Orange Street.
Police said the teen was found loitering behind a business with alcohol, marijuana and smoking pipes in his possession.
