Anthracite Citizens' Theatre
MOUNT CARMEL - Anthracite Citizens' Theatre (ACT) held its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on April 11. The meeting was called to order by President Dan Mock with 14 people in attendance.
Secretary Louanne Olson read minutes from the previous meeting. A motion was made by Barb Malick to accept the minutes, seconded by Maggie Stief. The motion carried.
Treasurer Dan Heiser read the financial report. A motion to accept the report was made by Dan Mock and seconded by MaryAnn Palovick. The motion carried.
Under previous business, Ronnie Scicchitano went over new dates for "The Wizard of Oz" auditions. New dates and times will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28 and 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6. Heiser and Olson reported on their trip to Halifax High School and what they are willing to lend ACT for the show.
Under new business, Erica Sechler reported on possible shows for a New York bus trip. She will look into the shows "Jersey Boys" and "Book of Mormon" and bring more information to the next meeting.
Jean Dunkelberger made a motion to make a donation to the Mount Carmel Public Library. It was seconded by Malick and the motion carried.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Heiser and seconded by Sechler, with the motion carrying. The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. May 9 in the Mount Carmel Public Library. The publilc is welcome.
