MOUNT CARMEL - The Mahoney Brothers, a well-renowned 1950s and 60s impersonation group, will perform this Saturday at the Mount Carmel Junior-Senior High School Richard F. Beierschmitt Auditorium.

Proceeds will go towards a vinyl fence around new playground equipment at the Terry/Miriello Stadium complex on Ash Street in Kulpmont.

The show starts at 6:30 p.m. with the Mount Carmel Jazz Band. The Mahoney Brothers will then take the stage with their realistic performances of Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson, Buddy Hollie, Elvis and more.

As an added attraction, 12 high school students, dressed in 50s and 60s outfits, will dance on stage with the Mahoney Brothers. Eve Lyash, Mount Carmel cheerleading advisor, has developed a routine for the students. Everyone is welcomed to dance in the aisles.

If the weather cooperates, antique and muscle cars will be on display in front of the school.

Tickets are on sale at the Subway in Frackville and inside the Coal Township Walmart Supercenter, the Academy Sports Center in Mount Carmel, from any student dancer or at the door the night of the performance. Student tickets are only available at the junior-senior high school principal's office. Price for students is $10, adults $20. For additional show or ticket information, contact Joe Cesari at 373-3561.
