SHAMOKIN - The following hearings took place Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III. Defendants who waived their cases to court or were held for court were ordered to appear for plea court May 14 at Northumberland County Courthouse, at which time they can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n Alycia D. McDonald, 18, of 212 S. Franklin St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was ordered to pay a $100 fine plus costs. Charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were withdrawn.
Jimmie L. Brown, 27, and Peter Perira, 18, both of 212 S. Franklin St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and were each ordered to pay a $300 fine plus costs. Brown was placed on supervised probation for one year, while Perira received six months of supervised probation.
All the charges were filed by Cpl. Bryan Primerano in connection with a Dec. 13 incident at 212 S. Franklin St.
n A charge of theft by deception filed by Shamokin Patrolman William Miner against Marie K. Frick, 39, of 804 N. Washington St., Shamokin, was withdrawn when the defendant paid full restitution.
Frick was charged with issuing a bad check totaling $65 to Shuey Jewelers in downtown Shamokin on June 3.
n Thomas Madden Jr., 48, of 417 Main St., Ranshaw, pleaded guilty to harassment and was ordered to pay a $200 fine plus costs. An additional charge of simple assault was withdrawn.
Madden was charged by Coal Township Patrolman David Sage with assaulting his daughter, Holly Madden, at 103 Fifth St., Ranshaw, on Dec. 3.
n Gary L. Hoffa Jr., 33, of 17 N. Grant St., Shamokin, waived to court two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and a lighting violation relating to a Feb. 4 traffic stop at Shamokin and Commerce streets.
The charges were filed by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II.
n Andrew Brown, 26, of 616 E. Cameron St., Shamokin, waived to court charges of unsworn falsification to police, false reports, possession of Percocet and false alarms to public safety agencies.
Brown was charged by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano with reporting a robbery at his residence to police that he knew didn't occur. Police said the false report was made Jan. 16.
n Peter Rebuck Jr., 38, of 170 E. Dewart St., Apt. 206, Shamokin, waived to court two counts of stalking, indecent assault, two counts of harassment and disorderly conduct.
The charges were filed by Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II in connection with a Jan. 30 incident at a home on West Walnut Street.
Police reported Rebuck is accused of stalking a woman, grabbing the victim in an indecent manner and making a lewd gesture at the victim's residence.
n Raymond Villari III, 26, of 1432 W. Walnut St., Coal Township, waived to court charges of delivery of Suboxone, possession with intent to deliver Suboxone and criminal use of a communication facility.
The charges were filed by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano in connection with a July 23 incident in Shamokin.
