Food pantry distribution Saturday
ATLAS - The Mount Carmel Township Food Pantry will hold its monthly food distribution from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the township complex for residents of Atlas, Diamondtown, Strong, Locust Gap, Connorsville, Dooleyville and Beaverdale who signed up.
Support groups meeting today
Two groups focused on helping others work through the grief of losing a loved one will meet today:
VNA Bereavement support group will meet at 1:30 p.m. in the Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital cafeteria. Meetings are free and open to the public. Individuals should call 648-8989 to register.
Bereavement support group will meet at 5 p.m. Family Home Medical, 121 E. Fifth St., Mount Carmel.
Community watch group to meet
MOUNT CARMEL - Mount Carmel Community Watch will meet at 6:30 p.m. today in borough hall at Fourth and Vine streets.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
