COAL TOWNSHIP - The Rainbow Club Senior Adult Ministry met at Our Lady of Hope hall in April. The meeting was opened by Ruth Romanoski, president, with prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance and the Over 50 song.
Birthdays for the month were announced, followed by song and applause. The birthday celebrants provided the refreshments.
The minutes, read by Dolly Yocum, secretary, were approved by the president and placed on file.
Florence Verano, treasurer, gave the club and travel club reports. The next show will be "Music of the Night: in Lancaster on May 12. The bus will leave the church parking lot at 9 a.m. Those who are interested should see Verano as soon as possible since the bus company, restaurant and theater are requesting deposits well in advance.
The June meeting will be a covered dish at 3 p.m. June 12 in the parish hall.
Ruth Paul won the attendance award.
Kathryn Reed chaired the 50/50 chances. Winners were Richard Thomas and Paul.
Peggy Thomas and Reed chaired the bingo. Yocum was the caller. A pineapple upside down cake was won by Mrs. Chet Purcell.
Romanoski closed the meeting with a prayer, "Let God's Love Shine Through."
