Ashes to be distributed; Bible study set
MOUNT CARMEL - Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 47 Market St., will distribute ashes during Mass at 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The church is also offering the "Biblical Walk Through the Mass" study, produced by Ascension Press. It explores the biblical roots and gestures of the Mass in the context of the new translation. The Rev. Frank Karwacki, pastor, will be the presenter, using DVDs, a workbook and study sheets.
The study will be held at 7 p.m. Thursdays at the church hall starting this week and going through March 29.

Municipal authority office closed
KULPMONT - The Kulpmont-Marion Heights Joint Municipal Authority's office will be closed Monday in observance of Presidents' Day.
