MABEL - One person was flown to a trauma center when two pickup trucks collided on Route 901 in Barry Township early Monday morning.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash happened just east of Deep Creek Road at 5:32 a.m.
Troopers said William R. Wagner, 37, of Hegins, was driving a 1995 Ford Ranger east when he went off the road and lost control while trying to get back onto the highway.
The man's truck entered the westbound lane and struck the passenger's side of an oncoming 2010 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Joseph T. Maley, 56, of Pottsville, troopers said.
Troopers said Wagner was flown to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, in a LifeFlight helicopter for treatment of major injuries.
Maley suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville, by ambulance.
Troopers said their investigation into the crash is continuing.
