Giants raffle to benefit boy
WEIGH SCALES - Raffle tickets for a New York Giants autographed football are being sold to benefit Logan Williams and family.
The 10-year-old Paxinos boy was severely injured in a lightning strike in September.
Tickets are $5. The drawing will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 28 at Wayside Inn.

Registration packets ready
MOUNT CARMEL - Packets for Pre-K Counts and kindergarten registration can be picked up in the Mount Carmel Area Elementary School office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. All forms and information will be provided. There are 20 spots for Pre-K Counts available; students must meet the federal guidelines of the Pre-K Counts Grant.
Students entering kindergarten must be 5 by Sept. 1. All forms and information must be complete before the child will be registered; once completed, call the office for an appointment. Appointment will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 15, March 14 and April 18. For more information, call the elementary school office at 339-1500 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
