SHAMOKIN - The following hearings took place Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III. Defendants who waived their cases or were held for court were ordered to appear for plea court Feb. 13 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, at which time they can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

n Daniel W. Dunkelberger, 65, of 264 E. Shamokin St., Trevorton, waived to court two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to drive in a single lane, a turning violation, careless driving and failure to wear a seat belt.

The charges were filed by Trooper Barry Wooten of state police at Stonington in connection with an Oct. 16 incident on Route 2044 near Route 225 in Trevorton.

n Raymond Smith, 50, of 1328 W. Montgomery St., Coal Township, was held for court on charges of indecent exposure and two counts of disorderly conduct relating to an Aug. 2 incident outside his home in which he was naked in front of two witnesses.

The charges were filed by Coal Township Patrolman Christopher Lapotsky.

Smith was released from Northumberland County Prison in Sunbury after posting $1,000 bail.

n Nathan Smink, 22, of 1728 W. Chestnut St., Coal Township, waived to court charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, recklessly endangering another person, careless driving, reckless driving, driving an ATV on a city street, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance and disorderly conduct.

The charges were filed by Shamokin Patrolman Nathan Rhodes in connection with incidents that occurred Nov. 21 at Arch and Third streets in Shamokin and Burnside.
