Army Reserve Pvt. Jeremiah L. Conley has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values and physical fitness; received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare, bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system and basic first aid, and participated in foot marches and field training exercises.
Conley is a son of Jerry Conley, of Strong.
He is a 2001 graduate of Mount Carmel Area Junior-Senior High School.
