Veteran's group looking for members
KULPMONT - The Black Diamond Detachment No. 846 of the Marine Corps League invites all local Marines and FMF Corpsmen to join their ranks. Members have served the United States and now serve their communities by providing funeral services for their fallen brothers and sisters, being involved in veterans programs at the local schools and churches, raising and donating money to Toys For Tots and providing color guards for parades and sporting events.
"We see your U.S.M.C. license plates, hats and shirts, so you are proud of your service," said league Commandant Walt Summers. "If you still have the espirit de corps, come and join us, Marines."
The organization meets at the Kulpmont American Legion at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday.
