Patsies meeting
TREVORTON - The Patsies Adult Ministry Group met at 1 p.m. Monday, March 21 at St. Patrick's Church Hall. There were 29 members present for this covered dish meeting.
The meeting was opened by President Rose Marie Kopyscianski with the senior adult ministry prayer, Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silent prayer for member Doris Latsha, who passed away Dec. 30; Dolores Demas, who passed away Jan. 19; and Robert Klock, who passed away March 8. Our sympathy is extended to all of their family members and donations in their memory were given to Trevorton Ambulance Fund, Our Lady of Hope Church and Trevorton Luthern Church.
The past three months, get well cards were sent to Betty Jane Bohner, Joe Savidge and Helen Hollenbach, who were hospitalized. A sympathy card was sent to Sandra Derck for the loss of her father.
Since there were no meetings January, February and March, a secretary's report was not available, but a treasurer report was given by Treasurer Mary Ellen Hoffman.
Birthday celebrants for January, February and March were also recognized at the meeting and "Happy Birthday" was sung to all celebrants.
A special thank you was presented to Betty Jane Bohner, who had served the Trevorton Patsies for many years as president, vice president and secretary. Her husband, Bill Bohner, was also honored as her right hand helper. Their dedication was noted throughout the years for the work they provided to the organization.
A monetary collection was taken to be contributed to the Trevorton Fire Association and Ambulance Fund, and the Trevorton Patsies matched amount was also collected at that time.
An abundant covered dish social was provided, and all present served up their favorite dishes and desserts. Cards and bingo followed this meeting.
