BU sets commencement ceremonies
BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania fall 2011 graduates are winding down their last semester.
Commencement ceremonies will be held for graduate students at 6 p.m. Friday. Ceremonies for undergraduate students will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 for the colleges of Liberal Arts and Education and 2:30 p.m. for the colleges of Business and Science and Technology. All ceremonies will be held in the Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall.
A total of 490 students will receive diplomas - 95 graduate students and 395 undergraduates.
BU faculty members Stephen Clickard and Cynthia Surmacz are the speakers for undergraduate commencement. Clickard, chair of music, theatre and dance, will speak at the 10 a.m. ceremony, and Surmacz, professor of biological and allied health sciences, will give the commencement speech at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.
