Progress reports ready Wednesday

COAL TOWNSHIP - The Shamokin Area Middle/High School will be distributing progress reports to students on Wednesday. All students in grades seven through 12 will receive a progress report to update parents on their child's academic status.

Diabetic support group offered

SUNBURY - Sunbury Community Hospital will offer diabetic support group meetings beginning Tuesday in conference room on the ground floor of the hospital from 6 to 7 p.m.

The meetings will be held each month on the first Tuesday and will offer a variety of educational, social and supportive topics throughout the year. The initial meeting will include a brief presentation about diabetes as well as a open question and answer time.

46 pints of blood collected

KULPMONT - Forty-six pints of blood were collected during a American Red Cross blood drive held Nov. 28 at Kulpmont American Legion Post 231.

Post coordinator Rose Koldash is grateful to the following tho assisted: Betty Chapman, Post 231 Auxiliary president; Regina Poplaski, treasurer; auxiliary members Dorothy Andrewleski and Lillian Farranato, and community volunteers Peg Yancheski and Rose Karycki.
