MOUNT CARMEL - The following hearings were held Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones. Defendants who waived their cases to court or were held for court can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty at plea court on Jan. 6 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.
n Shelley A. Yuschock, 29, of 141 S. Beech St., Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of delivery of suboxone, possession with intent to deliver suboxone, possession of suboxone and criminal use of a communication facility.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolmen Shane Reamer and Matthew Dillman in connection with an Oct. 18 incident in the 200 block of South Orange Street.
n Michael J. McGinley, 25, of 113 N. Locust St., Mount Carmel, was held for court on two counts of harassment when he failed to appear for his hearing.
McGinley was charged by Mount Carmel Township Police Chief Brian Hollenbush in connection with an Oct. 12 incident at Boyer's Food Market.
n Joseph M. Byrne, 63, of 300 W. Pine St., Shamokin, was held for court on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and scattering rubbish involving a Sept. 10 incident on Edgewood Drive just off Route 487 in Ralpho Township.
The charges were filed by Ralpho Township Cpl. Bryon Chowka.
n Frank Hynoski, 47, of 437 North St., Marion Heights, waived to court two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and failure to drive in a single lane relating to an Oct. 1 accident on the Centralia Highway (Route 61).
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman David Stamets Jr.
n Mark A. Stone, 49, of 1011 W. Pine St., Coal Township, waived to court two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving involving a Sept. 17 incident at Fourth and Walnut streets.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman Shane Reamer.
n Noel L. Ibarra, 29, of 204 W. Girard St., Atlas, waived to court charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of tramadol hydrochloride and misbranding a controlled substance.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Kelly Campbell in connection with a July 6 incident at Ibarra's residence.
n Valerie White, 45, of 231 W. Center St., Elysburg, waived to court charges of possession with intent to deliver eight to 10 pounds of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cocaine in connection with an Oct. 22, 2010, incident at her residence.
The charges were filed by Ralpho Township Patrolman Chris Grow.
n Rhonda A. Zagata, 34, of 300 W. Third St., Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of driving under the influence of lorazepam, failure to drive in a single lane and a tire equipment violation.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Police Chief Brian Hollenbush in connection with an Aug. 29 incident on Snake Road (Route 2040).
n Amanda R. Mabus, 23, of 405 Clark Road, Snydertown, waived to court charges of possession of morphine, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, a lighting violation, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and misbranding a controlled substance.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman David Stamets Jr. in connection with a March 5 incident on Route 54 at Natalie.
