MOUNT CARMEL - President Cindy Saukaitis opened the monthly meeting of the Carmelite 50-Plus Club and greeted the members and officers present. The group recited the Pledge of Allegiance, the Senior Adult Ministry prayer and the St. Mother Pauline prayer, and sang the 50-Plus Song.
The club prayed for the deceased and sick members of the club, especially Helen Rogutski and Eleanor Greco and the safety of the troops and sang a verse of "America."
Secretary Maria Kaminski read the minutes from last month's meeting. Al Visintainer gave the treasury report, which was approved on a motion by Alma Zosh and Jenny Nolan and made available for audit. Gerry Palevich and Alma Zosh won the 50/50.
The next meeting will be at Visintainer's at 5 p.m. Thursday. The menu will include roast beef, filling and gravy, mashed potatoes, winter mix and cole slaw. Dessert and any kind of goodies are welcome. Small gifts are optional.
On a motion by Nolan and Zosh, the meeting was adjourned, Members then played bingo.
