MOUNT CARMEL - Seven defendants charged by members of the Northumberland-Montour Drug Task Force in a Nov. 15 drug bust throughout Northumberland County waived their rights to preliminary hearings Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones.
Another defendant charged in the raid was held for court, while two others entered guilty pleas.
n Destry A. Cavada, 24, of 412 W. Fig St., Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of possession of clonazepam, misbranding a controlled substance or other drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Cpl. Chris Buhay in connection with a July 14 incident at Third and Oak streets in Mount Carmel.
n Francis Feudale, 25, of Shamokin, waived to court two counts of delivery of cocaine and heroin, two counts of possession with intent to deliver cocaine and heroin, two counts of solicitation of minors to traffic drugs, two counts of criminal conspiracy to deliver cocaine and heroin, two counts of criminal use of a communication facility and two counts of corruption of minors.
The charges were filed by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano in connection with a May 7 incident in Kulpmont.
n Kerrie M. Dugan, 30 of 228 E. Second St., Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of delivery of suboxone, possession with intent to deliver suboxone, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman Matthew Dillman and Sgt. Todd Owens in connection with an Oct. 14 incident at Dugan's home.
n Heather A. Bohn, 25, of 234 E. Second St., Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of possession with intent to deliver 36 Xanax tablets, possession of Xanax and possession of drug paraphernalia involving a Sept. 5 incident at her residence.
The charges were filed by Dillman and Owens.
n Brent Rosenbaum, 21, of 1404 Hemlock St., Coal Township, waived to court charges of possession with intent to deliver 12 ecstasy tablets, possession of ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a May 19 incident in the first block of South Market Street in Mount Carmel.
The charges were filed by Buhay.
n Robert T. Malia, 43, of 1426 Spruce St., Ashland, waived to court two counts of possession of bath salts, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of driving under the influence and one count of failure to drive in a single lane.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman David Stamets Jr. in connection with a Sept. 22 incident on Route 61 at Strong.
n Charles R. Frantz Jr., 19, of 224 S. Locust St., Mount Carmel, waived to court a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia relating to an Aug. 31 incident at his home.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Patrolman David Donkochik.
n Joanne Michelle Marsh, 38, of 19 N. Hickory St., Mount Carmel, was held for court on charges of possession of 130 oxycontin tablets and 106 percocet tablets relating to a May 30 incident in the 600 block of West Third Street in Mount Carmel Township.
The charges were filed by Owens and Dillman.
The seven defendants were ordered by Jones to appear for plea court Jan. 6 at Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury, where they can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n Angelique Torres Callahan, 34, and her husband, James Edgar Callahan, 36, both of 220 Railroad St., Locust Gap, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and were each ordered to pay a $500 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for six months.
An additional charge of possession of a controlled substance filed against the couple was withdrawn.
The charges were filed by Stamets in connection with a May 29 incident at 216 Railroad St., Locust Gap.
