Museum to mark Pearl Harbor Day
BOALSBURG - The Pennsylvania Military Museum will host a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Tribute at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7.
Seventy years ago on Dec. 7, the U.S. Pacific Fleet at Hawaii was attacked by aircraft from the Imperial Japanese Navy, bringing the United States into World War II.
This day of infamy will be remembered in a tribute beneath the guns of the battleship USS Pennsylvania, which was a witness to that attack. A showing of the Victory at Sea series chapter titled "The Pacific Boils Over" will immediately follow in the James R. Rosborough Memorial Theater.
The museum is located along Business Route 322 in this Center County community, three miles east of State College.
