LECK KILL - A fifth-grade student at Line Mountain Elementary earned the school district a $10,000 grant and potentially a visit from a well-known television dog trainer.
Jessie Morgan won the grand prize in the North Shore Animal League's Mutt-i-grees America Adopts public service announcement contest with a video about the virtues of adopting a shelter dog. The video includes an original song performed by Morgan.

Jeanne Menko, elementary principal, announced the award during Tuesday's school board meeting at Leck Kill Elementary.
She said Morgan and three guests will be invited to attend an award ceremony in New York on Dec. 8, during which guest of honor Cesar Millan will appear.
Millan, host of National Geographic Channel's "Dog Whisperer," could appear on either Dec. 9 or Dec. 10 in the Line Mountain School District if his schedule allows, Menko said.
