Conyngham Township meeting slated
WILBURTON - Conyngham Township will hold a special meeting for general purposes at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the township office.
'White Christmas' this weekend
SHAMOKIN - Northumberland County Council for the Arts will present Irving Berlin's musical, "White Christmas," this weekend.
The cast of 40 ranges in age from six to 36 and features performers from Mount Carmel Area, Our Lady of Lourdes, Southern Columbia Area, Meadowview Christian Academy and St. Monica's schools. The musical is under the direction of Megan Baumgartner.
Show times are 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets cost $5 for adults and children and are available at Beverly's Flowers and Shuey Jewelers in downtown Shamokin or at the door.
Doors open one hour prior to showtime.
Train set winner announced
BUCKHORN - The winner of the Lionel steam locomotive and freight train, valued at more than $200, in the prize drawing Sunday from 497 free raffle tickets in the box was Madison Bucher, a daughter of Michael and Jennifer Bucher, of Danville. Loose Ties will keep the raffle tickets in the box for a drawing for a second model-railroad train on the third weekend of December.
More than 1,500 people visited the Loose Ties model train display at the Columbia Mall on Saturday and Sunday.
