MOUNT CARMEL - On the heels of the highly successful run of "Annie," ACT is keeping up the momentum by presenting a musical review entitled "Celebrate Broadway."
The show is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, in the Mount Carmel Area Junior-Senior High School auditorium. As the title alludes, this event will be a concert-style stage show of well-known Broadway tunes.
Auditions are scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, and from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, in the high school choral room.
A musical director will be available to accompany the candidates, who will be required to sing at least 16 measures of a selected song. Any song can be used for the audition.
For those interested in using a song that will be featured in the show, go to ACT's website at www.actheatre.org. All performers must bring their own piano sheet music. CD's are acceptable, but must be done with instrumental music.
