SUNBURY - Six area residents were elected to office through write-in votes in the Nov. 8 general election, according to official count figures reported by the Northumberland County Board of Elections.

The write-in winners will receive letters from the county elections office, advising them of their election. In order to take office, a write-in winner must advise the office that he or she is willing to accept the position.

Write-in winners are:

Marion Heights tax collector - Doris Fernandez, 16 votes.

Snydertown Borough Council - Jeffrey Renn received 18 votes for a four-year term. Since he also won a two-year term, Renn will have to designate which of the positions he will accept.

West Cameron Township supervisor - Michael Foulds, 28 votes.

Line Mountain School Board, Region III - Marlin F. Yeager Jr., 20 votes.

Jackson Township supervisor - Laverne Foreman, 11 votes.

Little Mahanoy Township supervisor - Robert F. Long Jr., 15 votes.
