SHAMOKIN - Tony Strike, of 321 Webster St., Ranshaw, was the winner of Week 11 of The News-Item Football Contest. His was the only perfect entry.
Strike correctly picked 12 out of 12 games, winning a $50 gift certificate for any of the participating businesses in the contest.
There were 12 entrants with 11 out of 12 games picked correctly, with two of them, Joe Ebright, of 38 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel, and Vanessa Nicola, of 505 E. Kase St., Shamokin, only one point away from the most points scored this week, Southern Columbia in its 55-7 win over Sayre. A random drawing gave Ebright second place and a $25 gift certificate, while Nicola took third place and a $15 gift certificate.
The three winners and all those with 11 of 12 correct selections are entered in the grand prize drawing for a $200 cash prize. Qualifiers are "Bado" Darrup, of Mount Carmel; Donald Deromedi, of Atlas; Mary M.
