SUNBURY - Two of three incumbents were among the winners in Tuesday's General Election for Mount Carmel Area School Board.
Michael A. Rovito and Robert E. Muldowney earned 1,486 and 1,561 unofficial votes, respectively, and each earned four-year terms.
For Rovito, the victory secures his fifth consecutive term; Muldowney won his fourth straight.
Challenger Thomas Ditchey was the top vote-getter with 1,619 votes. Fellow winners were Michael P. Brinkash, who received 1,559 votes, and Raymond D. Kraynak with 1,416.

Kraynak, is also a board member, won as a Democrat while the other four all had dual-party nominations.
One-term incumbent Judith McCollum, a Republican, was defeated after tallying 1,262 votes.
